Occupation: Adult Marketing Consultant

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

The Sex in My Business: I teach models how to use their sexuality to generate more income. I read about sex, kinks, and fetishes in order to better help my clients with their personal struggles, and I also study laws regarding sex and sexuality because keeping abreast of what is and isn’t allowed in specific countries is pivotal in the consulting world.

A Typical Day: I spend three hours a day helping models online and speaking one-on-one with between three and six models to help them with their business/marketing strategies. I read up on new market trends and data reports about the sex industry and create videos for the models on my subscription website detailing my findings. I usually round this out with a search of different social media sites to see what people are talking about regarding sex, so I can keep ahead of up-and-coming trends.

The Best Part: My favorite part of my job is seeing clients gush about their results. Although they do the hard work, seeing someone overcome their frustrations is the best motivator. I know it may not sound very sexy, but showing a model how customers perceive them and how to make minor tweaks to increase their earnings is so rewarding.

The Worst Part: My least favorite part of my job would have to be the sheer amount of dick pics having open DMs will land you. I keep my DMs open so that anyone can contact me, but this results in some — actually many, many dick pics in my inbox. It is easy enough to avoid them, but sometimes those who send will have a girl's avatar and name. I know it sounds like a minor gripe, but it really is the most eye-rolling part of this gig.

How I Got Here: Sex work has changed my life! I came to it broken, homeless, and with no options when I was only 18, thinking it was “just for now”, and that I would find something better later. It only took a few months for me to realize this was a real job and I loved it! I became a top model in my field and received many questions about how I became successful. So, I decided to write a book called How I Made $10,000 a Month as a Phone Sex Operator, which I released in 2017. It was downloaded over 3,000 times in the first week. Even though I had made it available for free, other models were asking if there was a way to send me money to “buy” it, which is when I decided to put it on Amazon where it is now one of the top-selling and most highly reviewed books about the adult industry. After the book's success, many models began asking to speak to me one-on-one. This launched my consulting practice, which has grown considerably. In two years, I have amassed 1,000 paying subscribers on my website, where I post content almost daily about business, marketing, and trends in the adult industry. I have also been up for many awards such as Community Figure by XBIZ and Humanitarian of the Year by the BBW Show Awards.

What Society Thinks: The attitudes of those around me have been shocking in a positive way. For years, I hid what I did as a sex worker, but when my book came out, I didn’t. I was pleasantly surprised to see some Bible-thumping conservatives supported my choices and rethought their previous stances. Of course, not everyone was so open-minded. It deeply saddens me that a few people have turned their backs on me due to my work. My current role of teacher is far more socially accepted than my work as a performer ever was, because it’s somehow viewed as more honorable. This seems backwards, because I would expect people to hate someone teaching others to do a thing they abhor more than the person just doing that thing.

When I’m Not At Work: When I am not at work, I love to play with my kids. I know it sounds cliché, but I grew up with no real family and so to give that time to them is nothing short of magical. We love to just be normal, because that is what we are after all!
