Reid Newton

Reid Newton is a writer, editor, and retired professional dancer. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Fordham University and currently serves as Lead Editor at Ideas Beyond Borders, where she covers Middle East foreign policy and the figures working to forge prosperous, peaceful futures in the region.
She has profiled women running underground schools in Afghanistan, resistance leaders fighting back against the Taliban, translators working in secret under Asaad’s regime in Syria, and more. Reid has published work about politics, culture, and foreign policy in The Hill, More To Her Story, Queer Majority, and other outlets.
She frequently ghostwrites articles on behalf of prominent public figures that have appeared in The Washington Post, National Review, The Free Press, The Telegraph, and more.
