A Typical Day: A typical workday for me is spent primarily on the computer. I review and draft documents, policies, emails, and marketing plans with my various teams. I also research and review buying trends, news articles, social media analytics, and customer feedback, as well as schedule meetings with other companies.
The Best Part: My favorite part would have to be speaking with other individuals, companies, and customers! I love Bad Dragon and I want to see it continue to thrive, grow, and make a positive impression on people. I also enjoy writing content for our site and social media, regardless if people know it's me or not.
The Worst Part: My least favorite part of the job is probably just the amount of emails and research I need to do. It goes both ways, however, since I enjoy creating content and appreciate when it reaps sales. But it can get overwhelming at times.
How I Got Here: I was studying to be a nurse when a couple of my friends started up Bad Dragon and were looking for help vending at their booth at AnthroCon, which is the world’s second-largest furry convention. I volunteered and they liked my tenacity and how I engaged with people. Afterward, they asked if I was interested in joining the company. I discussed the offer with my family and they were supportive of the idea. So I left California and headed over to Arizona to work for Bad Dragon.
What Society Thinks: While there is stigma around how ‘unique’ our products are, and even sex products in general, I think many of those walls are breaking down. People are getting more exposure to sex because of how prevalent the internet is. When I tell someone what I do for a living it is very rare that I get a response of “Oh… yeah let's not talk about that anymore.” Rather, it’s usually the opposite like, “Wow that's cool! I bet you encounter interesting stuff every day huh?”
When I’m Not at Work: I enjoy hanging out with friends online or in real life, play video games, such as Magic: The Gathering, watch movies, swim, and play with my two kittens.
